   LTTE is keeping civillians as hostages. If LTTE is so concerned about the those people why don’t they set free & have one to one fight with the army. When army attacks the LTTE civilians among them gets attacked then they can get UN & world attention & then somehow can stop the war when they are very weak now,Thats is there tactics & they (LLTE)don’t care about the tamil people’s life.

   actually im in uk now.wn i wt to westminister bridge i saw the srilankan tamil families were shouting against england ministry to tk axn against the war.not only that day all the saturday&sundays they were doing this.even kids were taking part. really i felt v.guilty bcz i couldnt do that nt even i join them 4 an hour too.v can spk a lot bt its difficult to play it.

   hellloo world leaders and all the peoples who has control on raja pakshe&prabakaran… dont u find a single way to stop the war?is there anyone to stop it. is there any other solution to stop by our people?politicians never care abt that.they dont do anything other than” great unnaviradam “atleast bcz of tis election they mind it.

   There are some obvious dumb people here.

   There was no defined organization called LTTE in 1983. It didn’t help the Tamils, as 3000 were massacred over 3 days.

   There were no militant defenders for the Jews. It didn’t stop Hitler from killing 6 million Jews.

   Facts of life, LTTE surrendering or not, Tamils in Srilanka will always be persecuted.

   If LTTE is interested in the welfare of Srilankan Tamils and wants to stop genocide what prevents them from surrendering under supervision of International agencies. It will stop lankan army from fight and they will have no option but to stop. Why LTTE is not doing it in the interest of Tamils? Let them give a call and do it. then negotiations can start.

   As a Tamil, as I understand it, it has always been and is an attack on Tamil people and its population. It is the destruction, on part or whole, of an ethnic, racial, or political group. If thousands of Tamil civilians are dying because of the constant bombing and shelling of Sri Lankan government in the conflict zones and safe zones how is it a “war on terrorism” even to begin with. Whom do they call the terrorists? The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). Shouldn’t their bombings and shelling be against them and not against the civilians? How would someone respond to the deaths of infants and children? Are 2 year olds an LTTE too Tamils are targeted from the womb where many pregnant mothers have been bombed, where there was a case a child was found with bullets after so many months of birth. If this isn’t called genocide, then what is considered to be one?

   We the Tamils are on the road everyday at every intersection in countries around the world supporting the Tamils’ cause and Tamil Tigers. If there are 100’s of thousands of people supporting the Tamil Tigers what is the reason behind it? Every Tamil person, even if they did not have personal experience, has relationship with many other Tamils who have been a victim of the Sri Lankan government’s attacks on the Tamils. People are arrested without legitimate reasons and evidences, abducted in white vans without license plate for no reasons, raped, killed, bombed, shelled, what kind of justice can the Tamils expect from this government other than to demand and fight for a separate nation, Tamil Eelam. Safe Zones are shelled, hospitals, temples, churches, schools are shelled. Why are these places being targeted? People running away from their homes seek refuge in such places and by targeting these places the Sri Lankan government is only expecting to kill more and more Tamils.

   It is important to understand that even if they call it terrorism, terrorism is not born overnight. What caused the birth of LTTE? Nobody just wanted to join LTTE giving up all their dreams in life and sacrifice their lives for nothing. They are not working for any government, rather struggling to free their nation from the atrocious Sinhalese government. If we are not even equally represented on a Nation’s flag what kind of equality can we expect from the so called Sinhales government. There were questions raised that Tamils are only a minority and why do they need 30% of land and equal representation on the flag? One has to understand that when there is equality its equal for all the parties involved not divided into proportions considering the size of the population. Two Tamils are asking for what is their land and why is there a question of why are they asking for 30% of the land.

   We, Tamils have protested, have followed the non-violence methods to bring out peace and equality but we were ignored. Martyrs like Lt. Col. Thileepan or Mother Poopathy have fasted for freedom until their death, it was just another big loss for the Tamils and their non-violence methods were not answered. We are not here trying to say support LTTE and help the LTTE we are only asking everyone to see the two sides of the problems. One thing I am assured of is that if I have seen my mother raped, father killed, my brother intestine left hanging by his heart, sister’s body in blood bath before my eyes in the land of Eelam I would be an LTTE and a child soldier because I am a human being with power, whether to win or not, but to fight back the injustice. If I haven’t done that I would have been a dead soul with a living body.

   How can the Sri Lankan government explain the burning of the Jaffna library in May 1981containing thousands of volumes of book works and what kind of equality in education can we expect from such government?

   How can the Sri Lankan government explain the bombing and the killing of Tamil Peace negotiator Brig. SP Tamilchelvan? Does Sri Lanakan government have to say that they are not up to any peace negotiations when they have killed the peace negotiator?

   One thing I would like to ask why Tamils would have to flee from their own land to seek for safety and security. No body has the power or the willingness to stop the government from their atrocious attacks but rather have the Tamils flee their land and live in the camp as insects where anybody at anytime could step over them.

   Let me tell everybody what is actually the Tamils is going through in the Southern (Sinhalese) part of the country. In simple words, the Tamils in the Sinhalese areas are physically alive and that is the only reason they are there. They cannot go out anywhere and anytime as they would like to go, they have to present ID’s to Sri Lankan Army’s demand, they do not live in peace not knowing when one of them will be taken away by the Sinhalese army for an inquiry and never return, not knowing when they will be arrested saying that they belong to LTTE’s group. This is the equality they share in the Sinhalese land?

   Why aren’t the world leaders still not acting? Supposedly the Sri Lankan Defence Secretary commenting on an editor-in-chief Sunday’s leader Lasantha Wickramatunga addressed “who is Lasantha? He is just one person, why are you people worried about his death.” If this is the situation for a Sinhalese citizen then just imagine the Tamils in Sri Lanka. How they are treated? If this the value Sinhalese government hold on a Sinhalese citizen’s life just imagine the Tamils. Anybody who is born a Tamil or anybody who supports the Tamil’s struggle for Tamil Eelam is a legitimate target by the Sinhalese government whether it is a Tamil person, Sinhalese or from any other ethnic background.
   Second, LTTE’s has put forth several air attacks on Sri Lankan air forces and others and how long would it have taken them to drop those in a massively Sinhalese populated area? Why haven’t they done it? Because that isn’t their goal or target. If they are even reluctant to kill any Singalese when they have the power to and have had the chance to why would they kill the Tamils whom they have been fighting for in order to free Tamil Eelam? Wouldn’t they rather capture these people and somehow get them to join their forces and fight against the Sri Lankan government? LTTE killing the Tamils whether told by the Tamils or any others are false allegations its either who reported about this are Tamils against the LTTE’s or they saw other Tamil groups who are against the LTTE’s firing at the Tamil civilians.

   If we were to listen to interviews by the Rajapaksa’s brothers or other Sinhalese ministers their answers to why not let the independent media to report on the situation in Sri Lanka, they say that “after everything is finished and the LTTE’s have been defeated we will let the media in so that they can report on what is happening.” Is this how any individual belonging to a profession would give an interview to a media that is broadcasted world-wide? Are their responses not enough to understand that their news is highly censored? So after everything happens what is there to report on? Why is it so hard to understand and accept the fact that Tamils have been under racial attack by the Sri Lankan government as early as 1942?

   If the Sri Lankan government does not have anything to hide why not expose it? Why not let the media in the war zones? Any media that reports against the Sri Lankan government and expose what is really happening there, all that the Sri Lankan government can respond is that they have been bribed by the Tamils or the Tamil Tigers. Definitely the Tamils can’t be that rich to bribe almost each and every media that reports against the Sri Lankan government. Sri Lankan government is putting forth allegations that the LTTE’s are holding Tamils as human shields; they are killing their own people by shooting at them. If the government is so interested in revealing the atrocities of the LTTE why not let the media in the war zones to report on this, report on the rebels about what they are doing to the Tamils? Why isn’t the Sri Lankan government ready for this? Even if the Tamil Tigers are holding the civilians as human shields, the question to raise is why is this so? Where are the Tamils fleeing the rebel-held areas are placed in? The so-called determent camps where acts similar to the Nazis’ concentration camps take place. Men and women are made naked; women are sexually harassed, raped and killed. Disappearance of people in the camps, separation of children from their parents, starvations and many more atrocities. What is the world waiting for? For the number of Tamils casualties rise to that of 6 million so the world can confirm that there is genocide taking place in Sri Lanka. Definitely there aren’t that many people in the Tamils population to wait for. If one should wait for the numbers to call genocide a genocide then what is the point of recognizing after so many lives have been lost?

   There is this one person who had the courage to standup against the atrocities and ask for justice he is now a leader leading a terrorist organization named the LTTE. Where is the world going? As soon as there is a minority standing up for justice against the majority its either he must be mentally challenged or a terrorist.

   There can be only one solution to this crisis, Tamil Eelam. Please recognize Tamil Eelam, please recognize Tamils as humans. Tamils need Tamil Eelam, not to bury the bodies that has been killed, shelled, bombed by the Sri Lankan government but for the Tamils to live happily and freely just like any other human being is eligible for.

   The war must be immediately stopped and the world leaders must define the term terrorist clearly. I do not know clearly who is terrorist LTTE or the democratically elected leaders are terrorist if the ltte killed people maya advice them to surrender if the gvt did such brutal attacks they say come out from ur home land. and understand us At least all Tamils in the world must tell the SLA brutal terrorist to stop the war
