Coming to my point, I know the political background, as expressed by Indian medias. But how much of that is what was going on in Srilanka? We admit to the double-standards and evil in our governments. But if it is someone else saying, nobody wants to except?
There are many Tamil people who are not pro-militantcy. But even those people, get upset when they hear the name IPKF. Why? Because the people who went to keep peace, spent their time wrecking the lives of the Tamils there. How many Indians looked to see why LTTE picked up arms again? How many listened to the stories of the Tamils affected? Even Indian media tried to hide the massacres of Tamil and Sinhala civilians. Never mind Eelam, but how many listened to plies of the people in the Northeast of India? Everyone simply closes eye and blames those people. It’s sad.
IPKF is and was a stain on India’s military history. There is no need to blind about that. There are some that call it unpatriotic. If calling on the wrongs in society is unpatriotic, then let it be so. But nothing came without someone questioning the wrong.

Congress party was having alliance with MGR who
was forced to show one up compared to Karunanidhi and as a result of which the Indian army entered Srilankaand LTTE did not accept the accord. Otherwise at that time in 1987 peace could have come to tamils. Premadasa and LTTE joined hands and wanted India army to leave the shores of Srilanka and they wanted to settle the dispute themselves. Rest is history.
Congress party is unable to project a better vote catching leader and hence nehru dynasty is at the helm of affairs. It is a shame.
