    S Raj,

I didn’t say anywhere that TamBras are against the Tamilian or Tamil language instead I said there are unavoidable.. exceptionals among the community and it also not subject to just TAMBRAs instead it also prevalent among the non TAMBRA as well.
note!! I already mentioned “Tamil Taataa” (u.V.Swaminathayer) in the 5th para.
I hope u will read it again. (actually the first 5 para..were to clarify Mr.Sudran’s unfounded charges against TamBRA as Non-Tamilian or unfaithful Tamilian, hence nothing against you).

meanwhile war never was a profession of any of the chatur varnaas, Kshatriya dharma is to protect, to defend and safe guard the dharma, nevertheless the Brahmins involvement or influences are greater in degree which is undeniable. Ravana is indeed a pakka Brahmana (whilst in battle field Ravana lead Lord Rama’s pitru karmaas…father Dasaratha’s varushaaptikam)

Pardon me !!! there are enormous of typo errors in my reply as I missed the word “grand” and miss to mention Vhaisravana who is the father of Ravana and a son of Pulastya rishi who is one of the Dasaprajaapathi and saptarishi , as such Ravana technically belongs to Pulastya Gothram. There is no such thing as half bhramana or quarter bhraman, our tradition or the tradition during Ramayana age is patriarchy tradition, precisely the Brahmin traditions. I don’t think so I have to refer to WIKIPEDIA as I am a Bhramana not half bhramana and I also acquaired such knowledge via my wise aachaaryaars..unless otherwise I doubt on my credibility, nevertheless WIKIPEDIA is not always a credible not absolute resourse it is open for public editings..violations..etc regardless to verified citation or ground resources, I am also holding a Wikipedia membership. It is very informative yet credibility is a questionaire????

I think probably u r talking about the yesteryears indo-sri lanka peace accord agrements, pardon me!! I am lost since u have mentioned about Federal adminstration, the only time in Sri lanka agreed or in process of Federal Admin or the interim self governing authority suggestions budded with scent was during 2001,

Absolutely not during Indo-sl accord…Indo-SL only paved a path towards a proportional level of autonomous and were still bound to the governance of Sri Lanka external body to monitor the regional authorities as such it wasn’t a Federal administration at all, further the SL Tamilians involvements in this talk were negligble, it was purely between India and Sri Lanka, there are many reasons for the failure of this accord:

EPRLF’s possible power-trading with SL Gov,

    Non autonomous regional councils,

Plausibility, unsure on SL Gov succeeders policies and Singhala publics standings,

Jayawardenaa’s credibility?? as he is an ardent Singhalese who excecuted the Singhala only policy…….as such they are many reasons hidden behind that even todate not came to the limelight.

as such it is foolishness to merely blame on LTTE for the Indo-SL accord failure.

Okay!! let say that was a previous issue and leave it behind..pass is pass, what about the recent Federal administration suggestion who cause the failure of the peace process is it SL Gov or LTTE?

my friend, Tamilians in sri lanka are living in fear of the Singhlese supremacy of discriminations, unity only can be achieved via hypothesis not in reality, Vast majority of Singhalese hate Tamilians ( which is a fact)
As such the Tamilians need a firm and steady form of assurance for their soveregnity, not a crumble not a morsel not a nursery rhyme nor a rainbow paradise. otherwise the Tamils in SL will live as underdogs and would be treated as a third class citizens or a modern day slave in their homelands.

The present Tamil genocide behind the veil of the slier SL Gov will explain in details about their welfare towards Tamilians.
( they is a say in my mother tongue: Aadu nalaiyuthunnu oonaaai aluthaaam)

I am not a supporter of LTTE nor the War, but I am against the discriminations.

Cho is a one and only man and we can’t accept his comments. You have to learn the tamils’ histry from last 75 years(at least). Mr.Cho please come out from your dirty politics. Don’t go with one Woman(Sonia) show. Don’t kill the dead snack. Think about 1987.

I may add that Ravana was the grandson of Pulasthiya Rishi and not his son. Pl verify facts. The discussion is side tracked to accusing Brahmins of supporting Army actions. It is not. Srilankan army is regulated by the Govt of the day
and they fight LTTE. But poor tamils are caught in between

    sRaj:

    Mr Trivikraman
Where did I state brahmins did not take part in war? I said it was not their profession. Who says that Tamilbrahmins do not hlike tamil? On the contrary they love their mother toungue. Have you people ever heard of U Ve Swaminatha Iyer and his services to Tamil? Have you heard of revolutionery poet Bharati?
As for your assertion that ravana was a brahmin-you are wrong. He was part brahmin. Refer Wikipedia. My facts are verified. As per Rajiv Jeyawardane accord Tamils were to get a federal type set up but it was scotched during premadas’s period with the acceptance of it by LTTE. Pl ref historical events to verify these facts.

    v.trivikrama:

Sudran, I can understand your feelings, I am also a sympathiser or perhaps wishing for a sovereignty of Tamilians in SL, nevertheless u can’t generalise that entire TamBra community are an anti-tamilians which is absolutely a wrong perception,

Mr.Cho’s words aren’t represent the entire TamBra’s voices, bare in your mind instead of calling him Cho perhaps it is nice to nickname him has Psy-Cho, everyone knows his background and political standing like a grass where the wind blows he will bound towards its direction..instability mind, it is the media and cinema that gives space and publicity for his nonsenses.

Not all Tambrah against Tamilian or Tamil Language offcourse there are exceptionals..it is everywhere, What about the turncoats Karuna Amman is he a brahmin or Lakhshman Kadirgamar is a Vibra.
Do u think all the present urban Tamilians speak Tamil..instead evidence..in the Vijay Tv neeya naana debate these bunch of jerks not even bother or have feelings for the mother language.. so how can U generalise it.
Tamil Taatta is from a Tambra, Two tamilan who won’t Noble laureate also from tamil education background, from Tirupathi(andhr pradesh) to Melkotte karnataka in all srivaishnava temples reciting Tamil vedam (aalwar paasurams) is considered superior then the vedam and it is mandatory in the daily recitation, and how would u say that we are against it, it is our mother tongue, we are Tamilians, Dravidian don’t represent a ethnicity instead a geographical area of south India, I think the present mtdna..dna studies already explain in detail that the entire Indians including Tamilians belongs to the same genetic pool, u have update yourselve like some other tamilian and tambra’s that the aryan-dravidian invasion theory is fading day by day since the advance science is revealing the possible truths. caste..custom is a secondary issue and it is just a socio-economic issue.

    For MR.SRAJ,

you have a least knowledge about SL issues, first scrutinise and filter the informations that you have collected before promulgate it,

UN accusing LTTE???? where do get this type of news.
Have u had read the UN Refugee Commissioners report on risk analyse of Sri Lanka’s situations
Have u had read the recent Lancet reports
have u had read Amnesty reports in camp torture and abuses
have u been hearing BBC news and lately Channel 4 (most credible in-camp reports)

(u knew nothing much about the issues and yet ur giving a pseudo-fabricated non credible statements)

where did u here that LTTE or SL Tamilians didn’t agree for Federal Administration, It was SL opposition party(SLFP/UPFA) and SL President shown dismay to the proposals in 2001-2003.
Chandrika who belongs to the opposition party was the president at that time played the veto power card.. a nasty trick by declaring emergency state and revolve the parliment to turn over the successive of LTTE - UNP (which was the ruling party), as such the peace talk and federal adminitration process were stall.

without knowing the truth ur blabbering here.
    Giv a space will you.

nevertheless it is you have least knowledge, who said brahmin never involve or participatd in any sort of war either directly or indirectly!!!!…LOL
small example… Ravana himself is a Brahmana, he is a son of Pulastya Rishi.

may god endow peace and joy to the people in Sri Lanka and the world.
