I am really much impressed by seeman,s speech.no one in our state to uphold people like him.let our leaders try to concentrate people those who still live in poverty.I do agree for the all the friends who comment before me.
please advice india to solve kaveri issue between tamil nadu and karnataka within 2020. and provide some good quality water and electricity all the state within 2020. then give suggestion to india for the superpower and poverty
The question Can India become a superpower? is in minds of many who have seen the country’s explosive growth in the years after the IT boom. But before we do the entire math, we have to understand what a superpower really means. The way popular media has defined it is way too restrictive with all points given to growth rate, defense power and foreign influence. Time has come for us to look at the bigger and more realistic picture.
In the real world, big growth numbers and huge military without good health care system, equal access to education and jobs for women and minorities and good care of environment does not mean much. Let us look at ; the country is good very good in production, technology and also in defense. But the human rights situation, restriction in freedom of expression and the discrimination against women that is forcing parents to abandon their daughters is frightening. is powerful nation in terms of economic capacity but it is not a superpower.
Same would apply for . The country has tremendous strength in terms of trained human resources but then more than 40% of ’s population is illiterate. For a country of billion people, that number is quite huge. Also there are more than 300 million living under poverty, most of whom are women and children.
Boom created by the call centers and outsourcing has touched only the urban and middle class people while millions are left behind. Talking about the outsourcing and call center boom, we have look at the issue of north and south divide too. Southern India is far more developed than the north. South has higher percentage of educated population, lower birth rate, and better situation for women and also is better run. South is the one taking all the benefits of the IT boom. Most call centers and technology centers are located in Bangalore, Chennai and other southern cities. Although there are some in Pune too, south is the real IT hub. North is falling behind, it has high rate of population growth, lower literacy rate and women are much behind compared to women is south. About the North South divide, influential leader of the ruling party Indian Congress, Ms. Ambika Soni said that because of the federal way of government the central government cannot force anything to the states. The states will run their own way, right or wrong. What I believe is that the central government should have a national policy on education, women rights, environment and health. Then only will the divide be closed otherwise the people of north, which holds the largest section of population, will stay in poverty while south moves ahead.
Thus for India to become a superpower in real sense, it has to bring down the number of people living in poverty, provide better health care and also improve the situation for women. Then only can it become a power superpower.
wat seeman says is right. I could see so much of pain in his words for the poor people. we dont haave such nice people like seeman in politics, thats the problem. we cannot see even a single politician who cares for people. not a single party who contest election for people. politics is a very gud business for earning money. wen we see all our politicians are millionaries. All the CM’S, MP’s , MLA’s, Councillers have lakhs and lakhs of money. dont the people know about it, yes they know, but we cant do anything. Nonone is gud, so to whomever we vote nothing is going to change. India will never become a super power. But india will be number one in Corruption, AIDS, Poverty, Terrorism. Who has the guts to question these politians, judiciary, police and the govt officials. even if somebody questions, he will not be alive or his family will be ruined or he will be put on some charges and put to jail. we all are rsponsible for allowings these politicians to ruin our country. wat r we going to do?
WELL SAID…VERY WELL SAID MR.SEEMAN…
absolutely right…India can never ever come up…bcos of their bledy selfish corruption and casts….
there NO MIDDLE STAGE ppl…
one advice for the poor ppl…pls for heaven sake dont create more childrens when u hv already a child…
SALUTE for my DEAR MR.SEEMAN
aNY ONE CAN TALK ABOUT EXISTING PROBLEM. hOW DO WE FIND A SOLUTION TO THESE CORE ISSUES TO SAVE OUR FOLKS.
yes..indeed…mr.seeman is totally right….many can say india will be a super power in 2020…yes…its a happy news…..but it cant be done unless corruption is prevented….rich becomes more richer and poor gets more poorer..
a recent survey shows that india tops the first rank in swiss bank balance of black money more than 12oo billion us dollors….its a really stupid….if those money are brought back to government then india doesnt need to impose taxes on consumer goods…if still the crocodile which eat money is alive we the india cannot or never be a super power even for generations to come…this is the real truth and present condition ..no one can oppose it..
I totally agree with Mr.Seeman. He had told exactly what is happening in India. Richer becoming Richer and Poorer becoming Poorer.
Is it that having few men in the world’s or India’s richest list or having nuclear weapons or being a member in the commonwealth/G20/etc.,. means Super power???
Is it why we elect people to govern the nation???
The government should concentrate on providing education, medical facility and shelter to every person in the nation without any discrimination on language/caste/bank balance and make a tight law and order to ensure safety and security of every person.
