போரை நிறுத்துமாறு சூர்யா வலியுறுத்தி சென்னையில் தகவல் தொழில்நுட்பவியலாளர்கள் கவனயீர்ப்பு நிகழ்வு

இந்திய அரசு ஆயுதங்கள் வழங்குவதனை நிறுத்தக் கோரியும், சிறிலங்கா அரசு போரை நிறுத்தக் கோரியும் தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப பொறியியலாளர்களும் மாணவர்களும் இணைந்து கவனயீர்ப்பு நிகழ்வினை நடத்தியுள்ளனர்.

இக்கவனயீர்ப்பு நிகழ்வு இன்று திங்கட்கிழமை சென்னையில் உள்ள TIDEL PARK இல் மாலை 4:00 மணி தொடங்கம் 5:00 மணிவரை நடைபெற்றது.

இதில் நடிகர்களான சூர்யா, சூர்யாவின் தம்பி கார்த்திக் உள்ளிட்ட பெருமளவிலான பொறியிலாளர்களும், மாணவர்களும் பங்கேற்றனர்.

கவனயீர்ப்பு நிகழ்வில் பங்கேற்ற அனைவரும் “போரை நிறுத்து” என பொறிக்கப்பட்ட ரீ சேர்ட்டுக்களை அணிந்து வீதியில் கைகோர்த்த வண்ணம் நின்றனர்.

இக்கவனயீர்ப்பு நிகழ்வில் நூற்றுக்கணக்கானோர் பங்கேற்றதாக நிகழ்வினை ஏற்பாடு செய்தவர்கள் தெரிவித்தனர்.

On Monday (Nov 17) evening Surya and his brother Karthi joined hands to form a ‘human chain’ along with techies working at Tidel Park in Chennai.

Senthil a techie along with T.J. Gnanael who is a part of Agaram, a foundation started by Surya organized the impressive show.

“ When we approached Surya to take part in this campaign and be a part of the human-chain he readily agreed. Basically the message we wanted to convey was to ‘stop the war in Sri Lanka’ says T.J. Gnanael

Why did Surya, Karthi and nearly 500 techies conduct the human chain in front of the Tidel Park?

As one of the techies pointed out- “Tidel Park symbolizes IT in Tamil Nadu. So to show the solidarity of the IT with the Sri Lankan cause, Tidel Park was chosen.”
