June 10th, 2008 Posted in UncategorizedThe movie ‘Rambain Kadhal’ deals with three worlds - heaven, hell and earth. An innocent sugar cane crusher- Azhagu, is playfully wedded to a stone statue by his friends and brothers. Little do they know that the statue is that of Rambha, the beautiful dancer of Indralok She had invited the wrath of Lord Indra, turned into a stone, and is sent to earth. But she is given a little respite, thanks to Narada, that she can come back to heaven in her form, after sunset. Now bound by her wifely duty, she is forced to bring Azhagu, to her place in the nights. Azhagu tours both heaven and hell, and learns how a human being must conduct their lives. Both Lord Yama and Lord Indra find this out through Narada. Angry at having brought a mortal to their place, Indra again curses Rambha to become a ghost. Azhagu is cursed to loose his sanity. What is the fate of Rambha and Azhagu. Are they condemned to live like this forever or does Indra change the curse?

Excellent film…Too bad they are not making good movies like this, we are pushed the era of commercial entertainment crap…
However, I’m disappointed as the movie ended without the conclusion, that is in the middle. I know that this movie is around 3 hrs but it ended in 2 and 1/2 hours. Could any one upload the culmination showing how the lovers meet and how they are salvaged?

This is a wonderful movie in which Thangavelu has acted even better than Sivaji Ganesan. Sivaji has congratulated him for his best acating in this fillm.
