Treating women only as a means of recreation brings its own disastrous result. ‘Namma Veettu Deivam’, deals with one such person, Rangadurai (Muthuraman). Born with a silver spoon, he becomes a philanderer in life. He does not spare any woman in the village; with the result nobody is ready to give their daughter in marriage to him. With difficulty, his father fixes his marriage with a poor girl, Bhavani, little knowing that she had committed suicide, by refusing to be a prey to Rangadurai’s lust. Her younger sister Devi (K.R. Vijaya) is married to him. The innocent girl undergoes much torture in the hands of her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. In order to obtain the key given to her by his father, Rangadurai murders her and burns her body. But when he comes home he is shocked to find a look alike of Devi in his house. The true identity of the person living under the guise of Devi is revealed as the story progresses. The fate of Rangadurai and his mother and sister, makes one realize the truth of the dictum, “As you sow, so you reap.”
